The Bowe-Lees-Loveys vineyard in the Adelaide Hills was destroyed in the tragic December 2019 bushfires. Thistledown has made 800 bottles of this special edition Nebbiolo using fruit sourced from that vineyard in 2018, with all profits going directly to those impacted by the disaster. Generally, Nebbiolo isn’t a hard sell – yet the added charitable distinction had multiple benefits, least not for the purchaser, who, not only has a premium Adelaide Hills Nebb., packed with spice, cherries and grippy tannins, but has, effectively, made a donation to a timely and worthwhile cause.
