Named after winemaker Nick Dugmore’s mother, who loves a Sauvy B, only 88 cases of this acid driven Sauvignon Blanc was produced, from fruit grown on The Stoke Wines’ homebase of Kangaroo Island. They say that the growing conditions for KI grapes are a blend between the maritime conditions of McLaren Vale with the low humidity and long ripening periods of Adelaide Hills, which sounds just about perfect. This wine sure makes their proposition that KI is an untapped premium wine region a solid hypothesis.
