A winemaking family doing their thing since the 15th Century, this is complex blaufränkisch from Austria. From limestone soils on the western side of Lake Neusiedl, the grapes are hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel, then in large neutral oak casks. You can taste the tradition here, but also a willingness to experiment. That’s so rare and we’re thankful.
