Costa Bassa means ‘lower slopes’, so this fruit all comes from between 400m and 500m, 100% Chiavennasca (the local name for Nebbiolo). Finished in large format oak, this is Sandro Fay’s more juicy and fragrant wine. Think wild strawberry, liquorice and dark berries. So structured. Such precision.
